Every morning I wake up and hear the chirping of the Rainbow Lorikeets. Their bright colours inspired me to do this painting. I needed to use water colours so I could blend the colours for the bright feathers properly. I used a black pen to outline some of the feathers. The Rainbow Lorikeets favourite plant is called a banksia. I painted a banksia with water colours as well.
