This artwork presents a red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas) from Central America. From an artist’s perspective, I chose this frog for the beautiful vibrant colour palette. I find frogs gorgeous and fascinating. Frogs in our local area are important for the ecosystem. They eat mosquitos and are food for birds. The NSW government has put $175 million in to an Amphibian breeding program. Art featuring frogs helps raise awareness of their importance and beauty.
