Welcome to SPARK 2025; a wonderful celebration of the amazing Creative and Performing Arts students across St Agnes’ Catholic Parish Schools.
The initial ‘spark’ or idea for this Showcase took place over a year ago in a meeting between the school leaders and Arts leaders across our St Agnes’ Catholic Parish Schools. Contemplating a ‘major production’ in 2025 the idea of showcasing what already takes place in our schools, every day and every week of the year, would not only allow for more inclusive participation by a greater number of our awesome students, it would be a more authentic showcase of the excellence and opportunity that St Agnes’ Catholic Parish School students are so lucky to be able to experience as part of their everyday school life.
Together the amazing creative and performing arts teachers and staff across our schools partnered with Got Ya Back Productions and McKenzie Concepts to produce what I am sure you will agree is truly a celebration of the outstanding talents of the students of St Agnes’ Parish Catholic Schools.
My sincere thank you to all staff who have made this a truly wonderful Showcase. It is only through your dedication and generosity of time that our students can find the ‘spark’ that lights the fire in their hearts and truly experience the ‘fullness of life’.

The SJRC Dance Company is for students who show strong dance ability and a commitment to performance. Being part of the company allows dancers to extend their skills and technique while working with professional choreographers. It’s a chance for students to be challenged, grow, and experience dance at a higher level.
You Say explores the journey of finding one’s identity and self-worth, especially during moments of self-doubt or when overwhelmed by negative thoughts. The work reflects the quiet strength it takes to rise above these feelings and rediscover confidence.

Warrior celebrates resilience and determination. This piece represents the strength of standing firm, pushing through challenges, and continuing to fight even when others attempt to hold you back.

Our story dance follows Jessica Watson, a brave young sailor inspired to journey solo around the world. Facing criticism, storms, and isolation, she overcomes each challenge with determination, resilience, and true mind over matter strength. This journey shows how a spark of courage and self-belief can grow into the resilience needed to face adversity even when the world doubts you.

This dance explores the visible and invisible walls that divide us. Walls that Divide Us invites the audience to reflect on barriers of culture, values, and belief, and how empathy can spark connection. Through movement, the dancers embody both conflict and unity, igniting hope for breaking down walls.
