The artwork “Basket o’Blooms” combines my love of crochet, embroidery, painting, colour, design and nature. These elements merge on an A4 sheet of paper, creating a colourful basket of springtime flowers in bloom. The leaves are formed by cutting and curling the paper to form a deep green backdrop to the piece. French knotted yarn forms the flower buds while a variety of crochet stitches are interwoven to create a burst of vibrant blooms.
